End-of-the-Year Party: Tuesday, June 16, Pearce Memorial Park-Jackson, Alabama
Pearce Memorial Park has always been a very special location for the MRCS End-of-the-Year Party! Be sure to pack the sunscreen and come enjoy this fun time of gathering together to celebrate!
MRCS members’ fees are paid by the school, which includes parents and students; any additional guests are asked to pay the $5.00 per person fee. The golfing fee is $15 per person for 9 holes, $20 for 18 holes, $25 for 9 holes with a golf cart, and $35 for 18 holes with a cart. There are are a limited number of carts available on a first come-first served basis. It’s a great place for a packed picnic or a fast-food bagged lunch from nearby restaurants. This final event of the school year may serve as a 4th required-attendance to a cell group meeting ONLY if the parent attends.

H.W. Pearce, Jr. Memorial Park features one of the largest in-ground pools in the country and is a cool respite from the summer heat. But the kids aren’t the ONLY ones having fun!! The park also features “Jackson Links”, a nine hole golf course with beautiful winding trails, rolling hills, sand traps and water hazards for the avid golfer in your family. In addition to golfing and swimming, you’ll also find picnic and playground areas, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, ping pong tables, four tennis courts and a bath house with showers. Directions: Take I-65 N to Exit 19 (Satsuma-Creola). Go N on Hwy. 43 approximately 45 miles. Cross over the Tombigbee River Bridge and continue N a couple more miles to Hwy. 69 and take a right. Turn right at College Ave. After going through 3 traffic lights, take a left on Monroe St. (Max Drugs). Take the next left on Carroll St., then the next right on Vanity Fair. Continue straight until you enter the park. Tell the guard you are with the MRCS group and park down the hill near the pool.
