WHAT: FEBRUARY HIGH SCHOOL SERVICE PROJECT
WHERE: HARVEST-OF-HOPE COMMUNITY GARDEN (sponsored by A Servant’s Love, Inc. or ASL)
13661 HUGH FORT ROAD (off Potter Tract Road) in GRAND BAY, AL.
Harvest-of-Hope was created to serve residents in South Mobile County. Everything in the garden is free and is grown with the help of volunteers.
WHEN: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2015 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Our team will join other volunteers in planting new crops, pulling weeds, laying irrigation lines, etc.
Everyone should wear CLOSED-TOE SHOES and comfortable clothes that CAN GET DIRTY. Please bring bug repellant. ASL will provide cold beverages, light snacks, and latex gloves. (Those allergic to latex should bring their own work gloves.) THERE ARE NO BATHROOMS AT THE GARDEN. (If necessary, we can make a “restroom run” back into town.) You may also bring a sack lunch and additional drink if you like.
We would like to have a couple of parents to chaperone at this event. Please let your class representative know if one of your parents can help out.
