“5 Rivers is a field trip destination for students of all ages. With an exhibit hall, theater, classrooms, nature trail and boat tours, we specialize in teaching about the vibrant natural resource that is in our backyard, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta.
With the nation’s second largest Delta as a launching point, other topics are easily covered, such as the importance of wetland habitats and water quality, conservation and land stewardship, and plants and animals of the Delta and beyond.”
In addition to the regular tour, we will focus on Alabama’s snakes, fish-cast netting for species, weather permitting-, and become “wildlife detectives.”

A Planetarium show consists of a full dome movie and a live interactive night sky presentation. This tour is educational and exciting for all groups. The movie we will be watching is “Perfect Little Planet.” The dome movie is a full color 3-D animation show about a Perfect Little Planet which features a family from another star system looking for the ultimate vacation spot. Join them as they travel through our solar system and see it from a distinctly different point of view. Soar over the surface of Pluto, our best known Dwarf Planet. Dive down the ice cliffs of Uranus’ moon, Miranda, at breath-taking speeds. Sail through the beautiful rings of Saturn and dare the ferocious lightning storms on Jupiter.
