“In Winthrop Corey’s retelling of the classic fairy tale, Snow White discovers her own beauty when she sees herself in a mirror – a gift from the Prince – at her sixteenth birthday party. The Queen Mother, threatened by Snow White’s beauty, plots to have her killed in the woods by a henchman. Unable to do the deed, the henchman leaves Snow in the woods where she is taken in by dwarves. The Queen Mother is furious when she discovers that Snow is still alive and disguises herself as a beggar, who gives a poison apple to Snow. When Snow eats the apple and appears to die, the Queen rejoices. The Prince arrives at the dwarves’ cabin and is grief-stricken. He kisses Snow, awakens her, and they live happily ever after.”
